The Economic Impact of Flooding

About Us

Thanks for taking the time to check out our page. This website is the original project of five Northampton Community College students who are the participants of the Spring 2008 Student Leadership Class.

The Leadership Class projects began in 2007 with funding provided by State Farm Insurance Youth Advisory Board. Students surveyed the community to identify needs in the areas of flood prevention and disaster response. The Northampton Community College Leadership Class partnered with numerous community and business groups to create pilot projects, such as this website.

The creators of this website, listed below, partnered specifically Easton Area High School. After creating the original format and theme of the website, we found it necessary to partner with another group to continuously fulfill our mission. We partnered with teacher Nick Henshue’s 2007-2008 eleventh grade Environmental Science class. The high school students will continue to work on this website to keep the information current. In addition, they will add information as they see fit, as they too, learn more about the economic impact of flooding in the Easton, Pennsylvania area.

We encourage you to contact us, or anyone listed under our Resources section, if you have any questions. The Northampton Community College Leadership Class students are:
